James Becker: Managing Partner

James Becker is the Managing Partner for Fusion Real Estate Network Inc. His mission daily is serve those  Realtors who are associated with Fusion to help them create and sustain their own,  self generating long term successful businesses.

James is everyday on the front line of our industry and understands the trials and tribulation of an agent working in today’s market. It is his absolute goal to insure those he works for (the agents) have the best of all scenarios.

James started his real estate career in 1989 and developed a personal real estate practice in which his production (in transaction ends) was in the top 1% in the nation. His final year selling real estate for Lyon & Associate Realtor, prior to starting Becker & Associates, a business development firm, ended the year with the ranking of number 4 in gross commissioned earned out of approximately 500 Realtors. He has developed personal presentations for listing and buyer processes that were extremely successful and the success came at a time when real estate was loosing double digits in percentage of value annually.

When James started in the mortgage business he quickly started to produce as a top originator in our organization.

James real estate success was created in a very depressed market, the presentation and systems he created are highly applicable in today’s market. Dealing with buyers who have much choice and are very aware of declining values, dealing with sellers to insure they list their property at a price that will attract and secure buyers is what his real world experience and systems are designed to deal with. James has consistently over the years successfully trained realtors to use these systems in their own practices.

James has also started and ran a successful business development firm, where at one time employed over 50 individuals across the country and had hundreds of clients. Services provided were Business Consulting, Business Planning and Marketing strategies. Industries that Becker and Associates provided service in included: Employee Benefit Consultants, Real Estate Companies, Mortgage Companies, Contractors, Financial Planners, Money Managers among others.

Gwen Scott: Broker of Record, Partner

Gwen graduated from the University of California at Davis, summa cum laude, in 2000 majoring in genetic engineering. Following graduation, Gwen attended law school at the University of California Hastings College of the Law. While at law school, Gwen won awards for Best Brief and Best Oral Advocate in the Moot Court competition. She also served as a clerk to the Honorable Coleman Blease of the Third District Court of Appeal and the Honorable John Dearman of the San Francisco County Superior Court. Gwen graduated from law school cum laude and was admitted to practice in 2005.

Gwen returned to Sacramento after graduation and has continually practiced in the area. Gwen’s practice focuses on real estate/escrow, construction and business litigation. She has also practiced extensively in the area of ADA public accommodation and disability access law. Although Gwen enjoys litigation, her preferred philospohy is “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” – therefore, Gwen also takes an advisory role with her clients and aims to help them prevent litigation whenever possible.

Gwen brings that same desire to minimize risk to her work at Fusion Real Estate Network. She works closely with our agents to ensure that files are handled with best practices.

 

Renee Wecker: VP/Executive Assistant to James Becker

Renee Wecker comes to Fusion with over 19 years of residential real estate administration, management and escrow.

She has worked at many of the finest title operations in Sacramento County including Fidelity National Title, Alliance Title, Stewart Title and of course Chicago title where she started in the business in 1976. Since then she has worked her way through 1000’s of escrows and real estate scenarios that have created one of Sacramento’s most capable Operations Manager today.

Her skills and knowledge cover almost all aspects of administration in Real Estate and Escrow, including, contracts, escrow instructions, customer service processes, escrow signings, perfecting title, payoffs, demands, loan documentation, funding, branch cash flow and accounting as well has client retention.

Renee is a perfectionist in what she does and is not comfortable with any project done in half measures. Her skill set, knowledge and dedication to getting things right makes her one of Fusions greatest assets.

Helen Whitelaw: Operations Manager

Helen has been involved in the finance world for most of her working life. She worked for a PC company for over 23 years in either finance or IT and then moved onto Office Manager for a small manufacturing company. The past 7 seven years she has spent in the nonprofit world at the local Girl Scout Council managing their cookie sale, shops and magazine / nut sale.
Her experience in these previous environments has given her a wide assortment of talents that benefit our agents.

Leslie Larivee: Transaction Coordinator

 Leslie Larivee works in the Escrow Department as our Transaction Coordinator.  She is available to all of our agents to perform any and all TC services and she goes above and beyond to make all transactions go smoothly.  Leslie has previously worked as a Real Estate Assistant to a very busy and successful Realtor, so she is also familiar with the busy life of an agent and is responsive to all of their needs.

Leslie graduated from University of California, Davis with a degree in Economics and a minor in Psychology and has worked in the IT industry for many years.  She is also currently studying to get her Real Estate License.  Her attention to detail and strong organizational skills makes Leslie a valuable asset to our team.

Nancy Nicholas: Senior Marketing Manager

 Nancy is our Senior Marketing Manager. She spent the previous 25 years as a Hewlett Packard employee where she spent time in Accounting, Response Center, Administration, and Order Management. She spending the majority of her time as a customer coordinator handling order management for out of contract/specialized deliveries working closely with the Field Organization. She had an instrumental role in project managing the standardization of operation processes, writing of procedures, and trained off-shore teams against those procedures.

Nancy engages in her community when possible. The sense to volunteer comes her days as a Girl Scout. For the past four years she has served on the leadership committee a well as color guard lead, uniform seamstress, and flag creator for the Citrus Heights Community Marching Band. For fun Nancy likes to bake, sew, camp, and spend as much time with her family and grandchildren as possible.

Drennen Pierce: Marketing Manager

Drennen Pierce joined Fusion in March of 2013 and is one of our Marketing Managers.  She comes to Fusion with the motivation to excel within the company and continually strives for advancement.   Drennen is new to the Marketing Department, but has proven to be a fast-learner and hard worker.    Her past experience was as an Administrative Assistant with a home mortgage company in Yuba City, CA.  From there, she then quickly became responsible for assisting in loan processing as well as the prequalification process for home buyers.
Outside of her time at Fusion, Drennen enjoys playing a round of golf in the summer months and participates regularly in CrossFit at her local gym.  She has a large interest in staying healthy and fit.  For fun, she also loves to spend time with her family and closest friends.

Ashley Harris: Marketing Assistant

Ashley Harris joined the Fusion team in March of 2012, she is a student at Sacramento City College and plans on transferring to Cal State Longbeach as a double major in Business and Art. She is working along side Drennen assisting her with the marketing department, but she also helps out wherever she is needed. Ashley comes to Fusion with much ambition to get the job done correctly the first time with her ability to pay close attention to detail. Outside of school and work she is an aspiring photographer who one day plans to make a career out of it.

 

Brittany Becker: Marketing Assistant

Brittany joined the Fusion team in August 2012.  She currently attends college at Sacramento City College and is planning on transferring to Sacramento State into the Social Work program.  When she has free time she likes to cook and hang out with friends.
 

 

Elaine Mihailoff: Videographer

Elaine Mihailoff is a professional videographer and independent filmmaker. She graduated from UC Davis with a BA in Film Studies and wants nothing less than perfection in all of her video and film endeavors. Her love for film knows no bounds. She shows great potential with her work, already having won Best in Show, Audience Choice, and several other awards at the 2012 UC Davis Film Festival.

Her passion is to direct and produce her own videos and films. When it comes to her work, all her attention and patience goes into the details of her visual projects. And she is one of the few people who love to edit.

She excels at personal and creative ways to tell a story and aspires to produce many helpful and informative professional videos.

Darian Stribling: Receptionist

Darian Stribling joined Fusion in March 2013 as our receptionist with over 3 years of customer service experience.  She graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Science from Carrington College.   With her high energy and outgoing personality, she contributes a positive attitude to the office.  She demonstrates a willingness to learn while providing a professional demeanor.  She always does her best to help those she meets to make them feel right at home.   In her spare time Darian likes to bake, shop, and surf the web.
